Stylish and modern, the New Antiques furniture collection (2005) for Cappellini brings past culture back into design. This project laid the foundation for the coming New Antiques families of objects that have inspired Marcel Wanders’ portfolio.
This specific set of furniture pieces includes small tables, a chair with or without armrests, and a small armchair made of a wooden structure, complete with a seat upholstered and padded with polyurethane foam. As comfortable on the eyes as it is for sitting, these durable, contemporary chairs are available in two different versions. One has a black matte lacquered structure and a seat covered in black leather. The other, a white matte lacquered structure and seat covered in white leather. The range of small wooden tables is available in two finishes. The bases are lacquered in matte black or white, with a round top in smoke-grey or extra-light transparent crystal.
