Once used as the 2nd Melanchthon School, headed by Phillip Melanchthon a German philosopher, theologian and the right hand of Martin Luther, the studio building has served as a school, expanding in size throughout its history. The typical Amsterdam canal house is situated in the Plantage neighbourhood close to the city’s beloved botanical garden. The building was home to over 40 designers who arrived each day to share a surprising and inspiring design with the world. Throughout the space, visitors discovered a simple design concept that allows attention to be given to the beautiful designs placed in all areas of the workspace. More than a gallery of bespoke furnishings, one-of-a-kind objects, and exhibition pieces.
